The "First CEOR's Forum" is the first activity for the lunching of "Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz National Campaign for the Prevention of Osteoporosis". This was as per the Royal decree number 378/MB dated 19/1/1432. The Campaign will last for four years covering all thirteen (13) regions of Saudi Arabia to bring awareness of osteoporosis and show the public the best ways for prevention and therapy. The Campaign will target all Saudis and residents within the Kingdom, both males and females and to be sponsored by the private sector agencies.
The execution of this Campaign and its various programs reflect the directives of the Custodian of the Two-Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz to ensure the provision of best healthcare for all citizens and residents within the Kingdom. This is not surprising, since the caring for the citizens and residents within the Kingdom come as one of the first priorities of the Saudi government and regarded as the Kingdom's main wealth and treasure that should be looked after, cared for and invested in through the various governmental agencies. Also, the Campaign programs and its support and sponsorship by the private sector ensure the continuation of the strong links between the private sector and the community at large within the Kingdom.
The "Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz National Campaign for the Prevention of Osteoporosis" is a campaign that was sponsored by the late HRH Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz as an initiative. We, at King Abdulaziz University will ensure the execution of this Campaign as a sign of gratitude and loyalty to HRH Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz and to the late, and we pray to Allah that to be in the balance of his fortunes.
The "First CEOR's Forum" is to be held during the period of 7th-9th of February 2012, will be under the supervision of a very well-established scientific body - The Center of Excellence for Osteoporosis Research at King Abdulaziz University in collaboration with The Knowledge Corporation together with the partnership of all the health providers within the Kingdom including the Ministry of Health, The Medical Services at the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior and the National Guard. Distinguished international and national speakers and participants will be sharing their thoughts and presentations during the two-day scientific meeting that will follow the launching of the Campaign in relation to the screening, diagnosis and management of osteoporosis.
King Abdulaziz University intends to continue to play its role in the provision and participation in community services and to provide all the possible support and help to ensure the provision of state-of-the-art scientific research activities as part of its mission to help the Saudi community at large. This will be part of its continuous endeavor to participate in the development plan within the Kingdom. All of its activities and initiatives would not have been materialized or realized without the continuous support by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz and HRH Prince Naif Bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince. We are proud to be part of this National Campaign.
